Amanda Crane

Professor Amanda Crane is an adjunct at Unity Environmental University, and she has been teaching English and Creative Writing for over 20 years. Prior to Unity, she worked as a Distinguished Professor of English for Strayer University. She earned her BA in English from The State University at New Paltz and her MFA in poetry from Bowling Green State University. She is the author of the chapbook, Barbiecue and she is a two-time Editor’s Choice winner for The Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award in 2020 & 2022. Professor Crane works remotely and lives in New Jersey with her two sons, two dogs, and a cat. She believes a writer is one who writes, and that all students can become great writers with a growth mindset.
