Dr. Brian Nguyen has received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Science, emphasis in environment, from the University of Mississippi. He has earned his M.S. degree in environmental science from Hiroshima University in Japan. He has extensive global experience in the field of environmental science, climate change, sustainability, and applications of GIS and remote sensing in environmental studies. He has worked as a lecturer and researcher at some universities and international organizations. He has contributed for projects in the U.S. and Asia funded by prestigious sources such as the U.S. Department of Transportation, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and MacArthur Foundation. The results of the projects were published in international academic journals and conferences. A focus on teaching has been an important part of his life for over 15 years.  Dr. Brian has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses related to statistics, numerical methods, geographic information systems (GIS), climate change, and environmental management.
