PhD in Forestry
Dr. Robert Carter received a BS and MS in Forest Resources from Clemson University, a PhD in Forestry from Auburn University, and a MS in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Sports Management from North Carolina State University. Dr. Carter has served on the Forestry faculty at Mississippi State University and the Biology faculty at Jacksonville State University. Dr. Carter also has many years of experience as a summer camp director. He currently is the Education Program for the Museum of York county in Rock Hill, SC. His research has involved various aspects of forest ecology including plant/soil relationships, landscape ecology, fire ecology, response of bird and mammal populations to forest disturbances, and tick disease ecology.
