Bachelor's degree in Biology/ Ecology and a Master’s degree in Plant and Soil Sciences

Dr. Gangloff is the owner of an environmental consulting company focused on soil science, wetlands, stormwater, and geographic information systems (GIS)/ geographic positioning systems (GPS). Other work experiences during the last 15 years have included university research in the earth sciences including applied field research as well as basic laboratory research. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/ Ecology and a Master’s degree in Plant and Soil Sciences from the University of Delaware. He received his doctoral degree from Colorado State University in the areas of Soil and Crop Sciences. His dissertation work focused on spatial statistics and GIS/ GPS applications related to soil properties, soil fertility, and crop production. He has been an online instructor since 2010 and has taught environmental science, general science, and biology courses. He has experience with both synchronous and asynchronous (i.e. online) instructional environments. His professional and educational pursuits have provided on-the-ground experience with a variety of ecosystems, soil, and cropping environments. Representative systems have included the humid east coast, the semi-arid high plains, the mountain west, and the Pacific Northwest regions.
