Nicole Outten is an Adjunct Professor at Unity Environmental University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida, and her Master of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University where she also obtained her Physician Assistant degree. She has been practicing as a Physician Assistant for over 14 years in Primary Care and Emergency Medicine. She has taught middle school, and high school biology and anatomy, and physiology; as well as taught integrated sciences via distance learning at Upper Iowa State and Argosy University. She taught physician assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University where she was the co-chair for Clinical Medicine and Cultural Aspects in Healthcare. She has served on committees and as a faculty advisor for community diversity programs. She also enjoys spending time as a volunteer in community clinics locally, nationally, and internationally. Her contribution to Biology – Foundations for Life, is to help educate and motivate students toward their career paths where the natural sciences are an essential component.
