Baccalaureate admission requirements
If you are seeking an bachelor’s degree, all we need is an application. You will verify that you have completed high school or equivalent and be automatically admitted to the program of your choice.
If you are requesting transfer credit, please arrange with your prior institution(s) for official transcripts to be sent directly to TES@unity.edu. Transcripts sent from you will be marked as unofficial.

Graduate admission requirements
If you are seeking a graduate degree, you must provide proof of having earned a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, as well as:
- Your CV/resume
- A personal essay (500 words minimum) addressing the following:
- Why are you interested in pursuing a degree at Unity and how does this program align with your career goals?
- How do your previous experiences and background prepare you for this degree?

GPA Requirements
- You can fulfill our GPA requirements in one of two ways:
- Have a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher; or
- Have earned a minimum grade of B (3.0) in at least 6 credits of Master’s level courses from an accredited institution.
- If you have between a 2.5 and a 2.74 undergraduate cumulative GPA, you will be required to submit a supplemental essay
- If you have under a 2.5 undergraduate cumulative GPA, you may enroll as a non-degree seeking student in your desired Masters program. Upon successful completion of 6 credits of graduate-level coursework in which you earn a minimum grade of B, you will be eligible for admission into your program (and will already be 20% done)!
Prerequisites
The below programs have prerequisite requirements:
- Master’s in Wildlife Conservation & Management: Professional Wildlife Biologist track
- 3 or more credits in Statistics
- 3 or more credits in either Ecology, Wildlife Biology, or Natural Resource Management
- Master’s in Marine Science
- 3 or more credits in Statistics
- 3 or more credits in either Marine Biology, Biology or Ecology
Non-degree seeking students
You may take courses at Unity without earning a degree. Courses may be limited based on space, prerequisites, and total credits allowed. To take Unity classes as a non-degree student, fill out an application. To see a full list of our courses, as well as when they are offered, click here.
