After earning her BA in Women’s and Gender Studies and English from UNC-Greensboro in 2015, Emma worked in Washington, DC for an international development nonprofit. There she focused on programs related to city management including climate mitigation, local economic development, revenue generation, and workforce development. Emma is earning her Master of Public Administration at Columbia University concentrating in Urban Policy and specializing in Gender and Public Policy. Her research interests include sustainable urban management, feminist urban planning, and participatory community development.
Emma loves living in New York City and spends her free time on long bike rides, watching Netflix, and socializing in parks or on my rooftop. She believes the best part about living in NYC is people watching on the subway.
