Steven Golieb has a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Environmental Studies from Excelsior College, a Masters degree in Natural Resources and a graduate certificate in Global Sustainability from Virginia Tech. He’s currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology and Environmental Policy at the University of Maine. Throughout his educational career he has participated in international research on water systems, energy systems, infrastructure and more.

Having served in both the public and private sectors, his professional focus has nearly exclusively focused on environmental science and sustainability. He was elected to his second term as Town Councilor where he serves as the Chair of the Municipal Sustainability Subcommittee, and was recently appointed by Governor Janet Mills to serve as a Councilor on the Maine Climate Council.
