Therapist Assisted Online
Therapist Assisted Online (TAO) is an interactive, dynamic, and easy-to-access online program. It was designed for addressing issues related to anxiety and depression, which are the problems most commonly faced by college students. TAO can provide resources and tools to promote healthy coping skills and help you bounce back from life’s disappointments and frustrations. The exercises can be completed through a smartphone, tablet, or computer and the online programs are accessible 24/7. To access services, you must be a currently enrolled Hybrid Learning student.
Mobile-friendly help for everyday life challenges that fits around your busy schedule… anytime, anywhere.
How Does TAO work?
TAO is available to be completed as a stand-alone resource for preventative care. If you want to get started right away, click on the “Sign Up in TAO Self-Help link” on the login page. Check out a sample TAO session at this link: TAO Understanding Depression.
Your privacy on TAO
When self-enrolled self-help groups are created in TAO without an administrator, the following anonymized utilization data is reported to support ongoing renewal: the number of users enrolled, modules completed and aggregated de-identified wellness scores. User’s entries in the modules, logs and the wellness survey remain private, only accessible by the user.
Health insurance for Hybrid Learning students is provided through the Cross Agency. You must take action to enroll or waive the Unity College Sponsored Health Insurance. You must waive or enroll in the insurance by completing the waive or enrollment through the Unity College Student Portal. Please note that not all insurances provide out of state coverage, and it may be in your best interest to have dual coverage if this the case. The deadline for waiving or enrolling the insurance is the end of the Add/Drop period each term. No waivers will be granted after that time. Please visit the Health Insurance website to learn more about the insurance. Questions regarding health insurance may be directed to the Cross Agency. Questions regarding billing for the health insurance should you choose to keep it may be directed to the Student Financial Services Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. For students participating in the Unity College student health insurance plan, the coverage will be in effect for a 12-month period.
