Dr. Gilbert resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She has over twenty years of educational experience ranging from K-8, undergraduate and graduate level teaching. Since she is a teacher at heart, her primary research interests have included: Employee Training and Development and strategies designed to enhance teacher preparation programs and areas of curriculum and social and emotional strategies for at risk youth. Dr. Gilbert is the mother of one son. She enjoys traveling, live entertainment, writing, and publishing children and YA books centered around the topic of grief and social /emotional topics. In her spare time, Dr. Gilbert volunteers with organizations that cater to grieving youth.
