Excitement on the Trails

Discover the Miles of Trails in Jackman Moose River Valley

Looking for adventure? Then head out on the endless miles of trails in the Jackman Moose River Valley, easily accessible from your cabin! With rugged terrain and historic trails, serene scenery and occasional wildlife, Sky Lodge trails are where the rubber meets the dirt.

Sky Lodge offers its guests direct trail access via the old airstrip. While out on the trails, discovering the local area, there are many places to stop along the way. On your first day, you may choose to head East 62 miles and visit Moosehead Lake near Greenville, and on the second day you may choose to head south 45 miles and enjoy the river views near the Forks.

Trail Essentials

Don’t forget the essentials when heading out on the trails. First stop, is the Elaine and John Couri Welcome Center on the Sky Lodge property to pick-up a few snacks and your trail-map. Need a few more items? Head a few miles south to Jackman and visit Bishop’s StoreTrailside One Stop, or the Mountain Country Market. They all stock first aid kits, basic tools, compasses, binoculars, rain gear, extra clothing, sunscreen, bug repellant, extra gas cans and more.

Meals

Adventure builds up an appetite. Take a break from your adventure and nourish at one of the many local dining establishments in region. Our team recommends Mama Bears for breakfast, Smokin’ Barrels for lunch, and any of the following for dinner and drinks:

Equipment & Resources

New to motor sports? Need to rent or purchase equipment? Jackman Powersports is our preferred local vendor. They carry all of the popular brands of equipment, parts, and gear and can provide service to your vehicle if the need should arise.

Trail Maps

Since 1967, our local Border Riders Sportsman’s Club has worked diligently over the years to create and maintain great recreational trails, proving the most up-to-date maps and trail status.

Please be respectful of the landowner property the trails provide access to.
