Credentials

Ph.D. in Conservation Biology with a specialization in Marine Mammal Ecology from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Nicole Browning received a B.Sc. in zoology from the University of Guelph in Ontario Canada and then relocated to Florida to earn a B.Sc. in biology and a Ph.d. in conservation biology with a specialization in marine mammal ecology from the University of Central Florida.  Dr. Browning has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for 20 years, including courses such as marine biology, animal behavior, anatomy and physiology, genetics, comparative physiology, research, and a multitude of field courses.  Her research interests primarily focus on feeding ecology of marine species using techniques such as fatty acid and stable isotope analyses.  Her field work has taken her to Taiwan, South Africa, the Caribbean, and Florida and she has worked with a variety of species including various delphinids, manatees, and rays.
