I have over 16 years of teaching experience and have taught Biology classes in both online and traditional classroom environments. My courses of expertise include General Biology, Medical Terminology, Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from Miami University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from University of Georgia. Before I discovered the classroom I performed research in Molecular Biology labs during my Ph.D. work and during a brief post-doc. However, my true passion is working with students!

In my free time I enjoy reading, running, biking, yoga, and spending time with family which includes two great kids, a 14 year old daughter, an 10 year old son, and my partner, Stephen who is my high-school sweetheart.
