Karen Hastings is an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Geospatial Technology at Unity Environmental University.  She earned an MS in Geographic Information Systems from Pennsylvania State University and a BS in Business Administration from Ohio State University.  She was also awarded an AS in Construction Technology and a Professional Manager certification from the Community College of the Air Force. 

She has been involved in federal geospatial information services for over 17 years. She has extensive experience with Computer Aided Drafting, surveying and construction inspection. Additionally, she has worked at multiple domestic and international locations for 25 years.  She retired from active duty service in the Air Force in 2017, but she is currently responsible for installations data, to include real property, environmental, utility and airfield data for multiple military installations overseas.

Karen is excited to bring her expertise, technical and managerial experience, and proven teaching skills to students in this dynamic and growing area of study.
